Photos of the 2022 Production by Corwin Ferguson

On August 2, 2022, the centennial of Bell’s death, THE BELLS OF BADDECK opened at Parks Canada’s Alexander Graham Bell National Historical Site, located on the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People.

With a new prologue and technological design, this live production features immersive projection techniques and is performed by a fantastic Canadian cast.

What is Immersive Technique? Audiences are immersed in the show, rather than just being a spectator. Using history from the last century, paired with tech from this century, we are “immersing” you in some of the telematic techniques studied by Bell in his telephony and light transmission experiments for a unique musical and visual experience.

THE BELLS OF BADDECK depicts diversity, ability, and accessibility with respect of the culture of gender and social equality that thrived at Beinn Bhreagh.

Hear the Songs, Psalms, Spirituals, and Parlour singing that were beloved by the Bells. Surtitles will provide accessibility for hard-of-hearing patrons.

Interpretation and surtitles will provide accessibility for hard-of-hearing patrons.
